Empowerment through Partnerships
Creating Change
In Honduras, where 1 in 4 children under age five experiences chronic malnutrition, providing a child with reliable meals does more than ease hunger—it reduces the desperation and unmet basic needs that traffickers can exploit.
According to the WHO, Honduras records approximately 47 maternal deaths for every 100,000 live births, and rural families may face long, costly journeys to reach skilled delivery care. A gift of $50 can help provide safe transportation to a medical facility, a newborn outfit and a warm receiving blanket—giving both mother and baby a safer start.
Only about 65% of people in Honduras have access to safely managed drinking water—meaning roughly 1 in 3 may lack water that is available when needed and free from dangerous contamination. Providing water filters for clean water helps protect families from preventable illness and gives children a healthier start.
